I have one of these beasties, and the battery life isn't brilliant. I have looked on ebay to see if I can get an in-car charger, but I haven't had much success.
I am away from home for a few hours every day, and I was chased out of ASDA yesterday, for plugging it into one of their sockets !
Costa advertise Free Wi- Fi. They don't expect their outlet to be used as a free charging station. For all ASDA could know there may have been no purchase made but just used for theft of electricity. It is the same as low-lifes stealing electricity from street lights to power their squats.
minty
Because it is also an inter-net coffee bar. They would expect people to buy a coffee and use their laptops. Mikey would of been better off going to Wetherspoons where customers are freely allowed to plug in their laptops as it is also advertised as Free Wi-Fi (No problem in my local).
Any how I have saved Mikey a brush with his beloved law and supplied an Amazon link for purchase of charger.
I`m not sure if they are available for your model but a 9 cell battery will last longer than the regular one or you could just buy a spare to change over to.
I and my colleague had spent nearly £20 in the ASDA Cafe, before we were told that plugging in my laptop wasn't allowed ! The words that the ASDA person actually used was "its against the law" !
