Deleting Messaging On Ipad Mini

Ticking the box but instead of a dustbin I get a camera .....

I don’t get either icon, I get the word delete, what are you doing?

iMessages? If you tap and hold on the message then tap 'more', you should get a blue tick at the side of the message and 'delete all' at the top of your messages as well as a blue bin at the bottom

Its the blue bin I dont get now, I get a camera ...

Doesn't the camera change to a bin when you've ticked a message to delete?
