Installing Windows 10

My daughter came to do this for me but after 2.1/2 hours still not finished and she had to leave :0( It is installed now but asked me if I wanted to install the upgrade, what is it,and do I need to do this please as I like to keep things simple (like me...) and am afraid it might be complicated. W.10 have given me a time this evening to upgrade but should I do it? If I don't need it how do I cancel it as there isn't an option that I can see.

Is it installed or just downloaded? Are you actually using W10 now?

I've no recollection of any upgrade save to Windows 10 itself.
Updates, yes.

It said it was installed then asked to agree to upgrade which I did without thinking, so I have Schedule your upgrade on my screen and 'confirm time and close' or 'start upgrade now' no cross in r.hand corner to click to leave.

No. MS & Windows 10 don't like you to be able to control your own PC. You get the updates now or when you say it'll be ok, no refusals. I got around that but would have to re-search the Net again to find out what had to be done. My suggestion is that you get it over with. It's from MS so it can only be evil up to a certain point.

BOO! don't get rid of me that easily ...... am now using windows 10, just took about an hour to update and upload etc, just finding my way around it for now, if it continues to behave like it is now I will be one happy bunny :o) (IF)

Most useful tip I give to all new users of W10 - right click on the Windows icon botton left of the screen.

Some users complain that it is difficult to find functions on W10 - most of what they want is right click on the Windows icon

Oh thank you for that hc, I'd never have found that in a million years. My first question for you tho', I have Malware bytes but can't find mse? do I still need this or is there something better please?
