Hi, i recently bought a e-book from ebay, which was delivered in no time at all, obviously automatic,

My question is, how do they do that, so it sends it automatically?

Thanks in advance :)

If you sell something on ebay then they send you a confirmation email once it's sold. If the buyer pays for it via paypal, they also send you a confirmation email (which includes their email address).
It's possible to configure a program to "read" this email, find your email address in it and send an email back to you with an attachment.
Just the same way that you could do it by sitting at a PC, it's easy to automate.

How easy?, could you tell me how they do it?
Download some software that automates it and does it for you.

Something akin to this:

If you are hosting an ASP web server you use the CDONT or CDOSYS object to create a mailer which is triggered to send an email on an event, eg someone ordering something, Triggers usually happen within databases SQL & Oracle for example.

Hello Chelsea,

This is a simple question. You can use specialized ebook delivery software designed to do just that. I wrote a digital product delivery script that uses Paypal's IPN to automatically deliver ebooks sold on ebay.

Here is the website to download the software:
