Cant Get Rid Of White Oblong Box

on my monitor, which takes about 2 thirds of my screen.

It will go away when I click on it, but comes back in a few minutes. I am on Win 7.

Bring up task manager and see it you can identify the culprit. Must be some kind of warning pop-up that fails to put the data in the box.

Thanks OG, how will I know what is causing it, when I get on T/M?

See what comes up in the list when the box appears.
Or alternatively, save any open docs etc, and then end suspicious processes one by one in task manager until the white box goes away, then that's a clue as to what is causing it.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and running something like Malwarebytes?

I'm afraid I still cant get rid of it, as there are so many items in the task bar box, I wouldn't know what to open, close, delete etc.

I am not using the laptop as a pc, its just for my CCTV security camera.
