I'm with Sky and I'm moving to Sky Q next week.

Will I a) lose all the stuff that's on my current box that I have recorded?

And B) will my new router work better when Sky Q goes live? I was told because I am already a sky Broadband customer I can use my box now but I used it last night and it took AGES to load any pages...so went back to my old router.

Thanks Queenie

Thank you Dave
I waited until my Sky Q box was being installed before the new router was installed.
All the people I know who have Q are unhappy with it for a variety of reasons. From personal experience its not intuitive or tailorable and Sky broadband seems to regularly drop out - this in an area where none of them is more than a mile from a fibre exchange.
We got our hub last week. When I first plugged it in, it was useless so I plugged the old hub back in. Came on here, had a moan then tried the new hub again. It now works perfectly. I'm just waiting for Sky to come and install Sky Q. I'm hoping that if I keep the old boxes, I'll be able to plug them in and watch the recorded stuff. I have eleventy billion hours stored on them!

You wont, you will lose everything on the "old" Sky boxes.

We have a box in our conservatory that still has old recordings on...we had upgraded from that box.

That may soon change though.
