Twice this error has popped up requiring a restart to correct it any ideas

If you are using W8-1 uninstall the third party security guff.

Not terminal but needs a good clean up and do your upgrades regularly. The common causes are.
The operating system fails to read or write a process within system memory.
The hard drive or RAM is either faulty or damaged.
Certain drivers installed in your system are corrupted, faulty or incompatible.

Unlikely to be the hard drive you would have been warned of such.

Thank you both for your time and advice I think what I will do is restore first off which is easier for me and then look at that site if it doesn't do the job
