fixing an old photo
hi,
i have some old photos (1930s) that id like to scan and restore on the pc they have crease lines etc on them
what is the best free or trial i can try that is easy to use for something like this

It's usually achieved through "cloning" - taking an existing area of the photo and blending it in to the damaged area. Be prepared to spend some time working on it, to make it worthwhile.
There are lots of online tutorials available.

...You can download a free tryout of the latest Photoshop CS from the Adobe website......this is, despite what some folks would have you believe, the BEST in it's genre......As Chillum says ..be ready for some hard work to achieve a first class result........
By the way, the download is 329 or so megabytes so you must have a decent broadband connection.
The slightly easier to use Photoshop Elements is also available from the same site....
The latest ComputerActive magazine has a workshop on using a free application called Photobie. And "Step 7" explains how to repair rips and holes in photos.
