How can I reduce the spacing between lines on Word? When I press enter the gap it gives me is massive and I want the lines to be only a bit spaced between each other. I can't seem to find how to alter it!
goodgoalie's link pretty much covers the options & includes the bit I meant, which is under "Change the line spacing in a portion of the document" (point 3)
Nope still not getting it I'm afraid. I don't want to alter the default space between lines, I want to alter how big the space is when I press enter and go to the next line down. At the moment the space is too big so the lines seem to to too far apart.
Not sure this is what you want but i have two choices in the toolbar
under styles. Normal gives me half a space and the top of the second line is cut in half. Dont know why anyone would want that. I shall have to look my my default. Space gives me no space between lines.
Paragraph spacing is what you want. It'll be in formatting paragraphs somewhere if you want to change it on each document/paragraph. To default it to be used on new documents you need to edit and save default.dot, or it's equivalent in version 13.
