Hi, just purchased HP Media centre PC and not till some time later realized that there's no Modem connection on the back as its wireless. thats fine but wanadoo locks you out of your email after 3 months of not logging on via dial up because my Broadband comes from BT. Old PC no prob, just used dial up once every 3 months to keep it open, now can't do that. Any ideas anyone, thanks

Could you take the dial-up modem out of your old PC and install it in your new one? It's quite easy and we can give you help if you need it.

If you don't have it anymore, or it was built into the PC rather than being an addon card, you could buy another one. Here's one: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProduc tID=219259 for around 6.50.

Thanks for that Ralph, I haven't got the old one now but for 6.50 I think I'll go and get one and save all the bother. I would have changed to wanadoo for broadband but changing provider I'm told leads to a couple of weeks with no connection and without a dial up modem I'd have been snookered as i run my haulage business from home...cheers mate
Idea: use another email system. Gmail...
