My cuckoo clock thinks it’s 3pm and it’s only 1pm. I don’t know how to reset it.

When was the last time you wound it?
you need to wind the hands forwards all the way round to 1
Remove the hands and reset them. The internal mechanism could be a bit tricky to adjust.
Just stop the clock, assuming it’s got a pendulum or some other means of stopping it, then restart it when it’s 3pm.

That will not affect anything. The hands are out of sync with internal mechanism.
Are they?
It all depends on what type of cuckoo clock it is.
Without knowing what type it is, does anything here help?

On all cuckoo clocks I have seen, I have owned a few, the hour hand inner movement is linked to a mechanism which operates the bellows for the cuckoo sound. The number of cuckoos is controlled by whatever number the hour hand is on. There is a separate pendulum to operate the bellows.

I emailed the company- their reply was to go back to the company who supplied the clock!!!
Thanks for all your replies- I have taken the batteries out and will pop them back in just after the hour the clock thinks it’s at
Again thank you for your replies
Not a bad idea.

If you're completely puzzled, IE, there isn't something you can open to wind it to the correct time, then i found this online, it may make sense:

Step 1
Restart a stopped cuckoo clock before attempting to reset it to the desired time. Grab the clock's pendulum and pull it to the left as far as it will go. Let go of the pendulum to restart the clock's movement.

Step 2
Hold the clock's minute hand lightly between your thumb and index finger. Slowly turn the minute hand counterclockwise until both the minute and hour hands are moved into the desired position.

Step 3
Wind the cuckoo clock when the weights descend and the rings attached to the chains are near the bottom of the clock. Pull the chains to raise the weight and wind your clock. Note that most cuckoo clocks will need to be wound at least once a day, though some models need winding only once every eight days.

It wouln't hurt to put new batteries in while you're at it.
bit poopie they fobbed you off to the retailer of the clock. I'd just say well it was you who i bought it from.
I gave that link earlier Spath.
