Trying to update a device driver, the un-install routine failed. The driver now doesn't work and I can't re-install the driver without removing the original. How do I get rid of the old driver?

try re-installing the old driver and then un-installing it. CCleaner ( free utility just google it and download ) ) has an unistaller which is pretty good
just re-read ur post and realise what u are saying about can't re-install without removing the original -- I don't see why u can't reinstall the old driver again even tho the corrupt version is still there. anyway, ccleaner may help take it off for u

Homer, when I attempt to re-install, I get a message saying I have to un-install the original driver before I can re-install. When I try to un-install I get the message 'file missing - can't complete the un-install process. So I can't install or un-install.

Also, can't get on the web to use google as it is my usb adsl driver that is the problem.!!!!!
