I bought it on Ebay, a bit of a palaver with password etc. but its downloaded and working fine and it appears legit, Ive used it for a week with no problems. Loads of listings selling it on Ebay. I just haven't found a catch, surely their must be a catch?

Sounds questionable to me too.
I pay £5-99 per month for mine Ratter, I remember when it came with a package free when you bought a PC pre Windows 8, it's a total rip off

Bobbisox, but how is it a rip off? mine is working fine. It may be a rip off but for £3.99 I felt it worth the risk.
Not meaning what you got is a rip off Rstter ( might go for that myself) I meant charging people to use it when used to be built in to a PC
The price of PCs and laptops has come down a lot though, bobbisox.
Be interested to know as I could update my own version and my woman's PC: but what if it's illegitimate and MS only block it in 6 months time when they get around to it, and the seller's no longer contactable ?
Question Author
Bobbisox1, I see! just business I suppose, as long as its legal and the programme works fine, I dont have a problem with it. and you can use it on up to 5 computers!
Question Author
OG, go for it, if it become unusable in 6 months, so be it, still hell of a saving.
Yes ff, there is that in it, I can recall my first one , was that W9, I can't remember but I know that cost in excess of a £1000 from PC World
It never came free, Bobbi, it was just factored in to the price of the PC.

Many people never use MS Office, I certainly don't and would resent paying for it whenever I buy a new PC.
I'm certainly going to look at that Ratter, and as you say after 6 months? Who cares
Thanks
The pain then might be trying to reinstall my old version back. Might risk my woman's PC though as she lost her MS Office when the disk failed and has been using Libre since.
Arh hc, hence the price then?
I do use it frequently so would like not to be paying £5-99 a month for it
I use Libre Office. Totally free and compatible with Microsoft Office.
I won't give money to fakers. Not even £3.99
Never heard of that ,another thing to look into, cheers HC
Thank you hc ,appreciated

It appears to be downloaded directly from Microsoft!
It's the license key that is the copy, Ratter.
