Ebay Sign In.

I never choose the ‘stay signed in’ or ‘remember me’ options on any web sites, preferring to start from scratch and log out completely each time.
However, up until a couple of weeks ago, whenever I went on eBay, there was just a sign-in option but now my first name is there every time. It happens on desk top and iPad.
I’ve checked the settings and nothing seems untoward there.
Any suggestions as to how to go back to anonymity unless I choose to sign in?

Perhaps delete cookies?

I do that often, The Builder. And clear cache.
I've also tried typing in the web address instead of using my bookmark.

Click on your name on the top-left >> select Site Preferences >> at the bottom of the screen uncheck Keep Me Signed In - then sign out

I knew it wasn't, but I just checked after your post.

What Browsers are you using ? I use Firefox and SeaMonkey. Both automatically remember my Sign-in details ,unless I programme otherwise.

Safari on both.

I don't have any experience with Safari, but feel sure this is where your problem could be. Hopefully there is an ABer who uses Safari and can suggest a solution.

I have no auto fill turned on. In fact I have nothing that I feel can invade my privacy, such as location, share or cloud.
In fact, just about every offered service is turned off on both devices, and I only use what’s absolutely necessary.
If a site makes you accept cookies/has the privacy notice before you can access it, then unless it’s a site I use regularly, I don’t bother.
This is weird, this eBay thing only happened recently, but I just don’t want to be identified until I choose to sign in.
