Huawei Y7 Music Not Playing

I am trying to transfer music from my pc to my dad's Huawei Y7. We have done this before and it worked fine. Now when I transfer albums using sync on windows media the music transfers but when I come to select a track on the phone it scrolls quickly through all the tracks before saying 'failed to play file'. Only one album seems to work where all the others don't. I have tried transferring to both internal storage and sd card. I have also tested one of the albums on my phone and it works fine. Does anyone know of any reason why it won't work on the Y7?

use a different music player, rather that the one built in, some music players will not play certain audio files aka mp3 vs flac, players get confused, just bad programming or sometimes a glitch? there are many free players to download via google play, but you get adverts..
but apps are cheap, i use blackplayer ex, ther are others poweramp
bother apps are cheap to buy and worth it, cheaper than a pint of beer
