Yes, I’m sure. BT, Plusnet and Sky have said that’s the max. It’s the old copper stuff, not fibre, apparently.
I’ve had slow at a previous address, and when I got fibre there, it was a huge difference, but I don’t know what speed I was on then so can’t compare. If it’s the same as the slow speed there, it’ll be usable for regular internet stuff.
I rarely download and never upload, so it was just the occasional Netflix or Youtube I was bothered about, but if I can’t do it then I’ll just have to get used to it. The price you pay for wanting to live in the middle of nowhere, I suppose.
I believe you need cable for Virgin, dannyk. That’ll never happen out in the sticks.
