Pop-Up Ads On Answerbank

I seem to be getting a lot of pop-up ads on Answerbank lately. One persistent ad is linked to a plumbing supplier's website I'd been looking at but others seem more random. Can I do anything to stop them or is this now a feature of AB ?

Ads pay for the site, but the balance needs to be got right or it drives people away. I can manage or work around the ads on my laptop but on my phone I can't use AB at all as the popups ruin the experience and either cover up the answer box or stop threads opening. Although I'm told there's a way to block them on the phone it's not as easy and I still haven't managed to do it

I get pop ups on my tablet while looking at AB but not on my PC - both using Chrome !
