Flight Mode

My laptop running W10 keeps reverting to Flight Mode and I can't see how to get my normal wireless back.
Does any member recognise this situation and how do I correct it?

I've tried shutting down and restarting, but it still comes back as Flight Mode.

Click the little airplane icon found on the bottom RHS of the task bar?

I've done that a number of times.
I think that maybe my wifi is fine (it tests fast) but there may be a fault in which the flight mode symbol won't go away.

When you hover over the plane icon what message do you get? You should see your wi fi details. My airplane icon does not disappear from the task bar when using wi fi. Is this a new laptop you've got? or are you new to windows 10?

Howard when the light is showing "flight mode" is flight mode actually on? Can you still get on line although you think that flight mode is enabled? If this is the case I think that on some laptops, Del in particular, after an upgrade or Macafee patch were showing the icon in the "action centre" lit at all times. I believe that it is something to do with your Notification settings which may be showing the top 4, or something similar from a list that can be collapsed to just show the top ones or all of them(about a dozen or so). If you have a look in Settings/System/Notifications & actions and look at the list there you may get an option to take it off the top of the list if it is there or to put it in the top 4 if it isn't.

Aunt Polly Grey, when I hover over the airplane symbol it shows Internet Access. This Laptop is one year old and I've been using W 10 on two machines for about the same time.

Togo, I still get full internet access.
I've looked at the suggestion you made but can't seem to change any thing. Perhaps I'll have to live with it.
