Who was the pheaasant plucker who decided microsoft edge was great thanks buddy i hAND SHOVE MS ave recently had a major stroke and am bloody confused enough as it is, without trying to find download and play my fave dylan music. without my fave windows media player so where the feck is It PLEASE give us the OLD WINDOWS AND AHOVE TIIS NEW CRAP UP YOUR JACKSIE.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.While Microsoft has produced a new version of Edge (which, like Google Chrome, is based upon the developer-level Chromium browser, instead of being based upon Internet Explorer, as the old version of Edge was), it's got absolutely nothing to do with Windows Media Player, so your post has left me baffled.

To have Windows Media Player readily available in future, do the following:
Type 'Windows Media Player' into the search box (at the bottom left of your screen).
When 'Windows Media Player' appears above it, right-click on and select 'Pin to taskbar'.
Then you'll only ever have to click on the WMP icon on your taskbar in order to launch the program.
However Windows Media Player is horrid, clunky software and best avoided anyway. For an all-purpose media player (handling both audio and video files), it's impossible to beat VLC:

For a superb audio player though, give MusicBee a go:
