HI everyone, I wonder if anyone can give me some advice. I work in a small office where 2 PCs are routed together so everything is shared. However, we ideally also need a laptop for the Director to use - sometimes in the office but mostly on the road / at home. Can anyone tell me how to download / share the databases onto the laptop and what technology we would need to achieve this. He is also likely to make changes and therefore the info would need to uploaded back to the office based PCs. Can anyone help?
Connect his laptop to your existing network and enable offline files. Browse to the folder / file required for use at home then right click it and choose "Make available offline". When he logs off his laptop it will make an offline copy for him to use then when he logs back on at the office it will synchronise with the copy at work. This can cause problems though if you are using the file whilst he is out of the office.
