Each app on a kindle fire, even the Amazon ones, have their own cache. I know how to clear them individually but is there any way I can do it en masse.

I'm not Buenchico and I don't have a Fire so this is probably no help at all.
If your Fire is 8th Generation or newer follow these instructions

What do you think you're playing at, Barry? Buenchico is the only person on this site who can answer questions like this... ;-)
I know, I'm a usurper, a very poor second :(
You do well barry. I’m happy to take advice from most on this site apart from idiots of which there are only a couple :-)

Barry's link only shows how to clear the cache 'app by app'. To clear the whole lot at once, you'd need to wipe the cache partition. This video shows you how to do it on the Amazon Fire HD 10 but it's probably similar on other Amazon Fire tablets:

I tried the video method but it wont let me into that menu.

I tried a few options and in the video it looks like the nearest part of the volume button but I got straight in when I held the on off button and the volume button furthest from the on off down together. Cant say I could see any improvement.
