system disk error

my pc says to remove the system disk, there is no disk in, i have tried everything i can think of, pressing F8(no response) , I have the windows disk to try and re-install windows it wont respond when I put the disk in, I thought of disconnecting the floppy drive and cd drive but will that really do anything? Thanks
