I have just got a new Lenovo tablet..is there any way I can transfer data from old Vankyo tablet which I cannot switch on as the contact for the charger is broken.
Do you mean the tablet port is broken, the bit you plug the charger in to?Whenever I have a new Android device I simply log in to my Google account and everything is there.
no, you haven't lost everything, just take out the disc drive and buy a USB adapter for it and then you'll have all the files, just copy off your personal ones to your new machine.
Does the old tablet have a SIM card Wrayperson? Any photos etc could be on it, another way would be to take both to maybe one of these phone shops who may have a cable to fit the old one, and they might be able to retrieve your stuff for you
Sorry just noticed it's a tablet, it will still have drive probably SSD. A PC repair shop should be able to retrieve the data or possibly repair the charge point. Consider cloud storage of some sort then it won't matter in the future.
I am sure a repair shop could break into it and solder a temporary socket on so that they or you could power it up before moving data and scrapping it. Thats what I would attempt anyway!
