Windows media player

I have noticed a distortion in my music when played through wmp, but not through other systems like real player, so I know it is not my speakers. I have checked the internal volume settngs on wmp but still sounds distorted. Any suggestions?

it could be a wrong setting in one of the Enhancments (Graphic equalizer etc) click on View/Enhancments and have a look at the settings for each. If any of these have been messed about with then it may explain your problem.
