Cd driver for Dell Dimension 2400

My cd player has packed up on my Dell Dimension 2400. Onde day fine, next day won't play cd's and the D: drive no longer visible. I've been told I may need to download the driver from Dell's site but can't find my way round it! Can anyone post a link or help?
