We have a Goodmans GDB2 set top box & my nephew has entered a 4 digit parental channel lock code which he's forgotten. Does anybody have a solution? We've no longer got the instruction manual. Some channels can still be accessed although the menu button does not function since a box calling for the code appears. Would welcome any suggestions.

Try using 4725, it's the master password which can't be changed :-)

Go to www.goodmans.co.uk and contact them. They may be able to help you. They also have some manuals that can be downloaded and printed out.

Hope this helps.

Thanks both of you. I tried the code but it did not work for our old model and when I checked the company website the list for downloadable manuals started with the model following on from ours.

Here's how I finally got back in:

Pressed reset button at rear of unit, this restored the menu button - channels still locked. From menu list I highlighted INSTALLATION then selected FIRST TIME INSTALLATION (luckily this erases all previous code locks reverting to factory set up code). Then it was just a case of adding the fresh channels to our favourites list. Finally advised my nephew not use the menu button for anything other than the CHANNEL LIST.

Hope this helps yourselves or others if the same problem befalls.
