Probably about 250 but it depends on whether you record in WMA or MP3 and at what bit rate.

Assuming a track duration of 4 minutes and a bit rate of 128Kbps, about 250 MP3 tracks or 500 WMA tracks.

Elerrina, as Buenchico says, the figures are for 128kbps - this is the lowest quality that you should consider. I prefer to use 160kbps for 'normal' tracks and 192kbps for my favourites (only occasionally going above that) as I have 20GB to play with. Probably with 40GB or 6oGB in the future, I could probably have every track I would ever want to carry with me!

my simple answer is a 1 meg per minute for a decent quality.
