Do you think that the Sennheiser PMX 100 headphones are good value for money at �28.99 from hifibitz.co.uk? I am going to use them for my ipod and want really good sound quality. Am I going after the wrong type? I know that Sennheiser are very highly thought of so I went there first. Thanks.

These are excellent 'phones (don't be tempted to go up to the 200). Shop around though, you might get them down to �24.00 - try Amazon and 'Google' the item.

Amazon is a good choice; as you can read customer reviews on most of the popular headphones before you decide. I also wanted a really good sound quality when I was looking for headphones for my Archos mp3 player as the ones that came with it were cr4p (I needed a sound as good as my trusty old Sony minidisc player). I tried: The Sennheiser HD220 (very uncomfortable to wear and not a great sound) Koss in ear bud type(uncomfortable and not a great sound) Sony MDR-J10 clip-on (awful). Then I tried the Sony Fontopia MDR-E818LP and WOW! they were ideal. Great deep Bass and very comfortable to wear.
