im just starting a learn direct it course and i need to use microsoft access 97 or 2000. however, i do not seem to have microsoft access on my computer.


does anyone know where i can obtain microsoft access. is it part of the works suite? can you get it free anywhere?


i have a sony vaio a2115z notebook with windows xp

You can't get it free. Go to your local computer retailer and buy it. Will cost you about �90 for access 2000
PC world no longer stock Access 2000 you will have to shop around or get Access 2003.

No it is part of Office (as well as being available on it's own as mentioned). But some of the more basic versions of Office don't have it included so make sure you confirm it has it one before buying.

You will be able to get a copy from ebay if you don't mind getting pirate goods.
