msn messenger test messaging

i rt clicked in messanger on a contact and chose enter a mobile phone number--then when window came up i chose counry as usa--where phone is--then entered phone number--it then shows number for contact as +1xxxxxxxxxx
but when i try send a text message to this i get message back saying this provider does not accept text messages--i have spoken to the person on phone and am assured their mobile accepts text--anyone any idea what might be the problem with msn messenger text messages--thanks

hmm, I believe the MSN Messenger mobile service to be a bit tempremental. I've sent messages from it before and they are never recieved at the other end.

Check these..

• Is your number correct?


• Is the country correct?


• Does the recieving phone accept messages from services like MSN Messenger? (some dont)


• Does the recieving phone have sufficient credit to pay for the cost of the message?
