Hi, i have purchased an item and payed by paypal however the item has not been recieved. I have contacted the seller but no reply. Is there a way to get money back. Would it be possible for them to just take my money and thats it??

If you've had no luck contacting the seller and you've waited what you would consider a reasonable time for delivery then you can go to the Dispute Console and Report an Item Not Received. If Ebay can't sort it there's a good chance you can get your money back.

You can do a chargeback through PayPal for goods not received.

You can start this after 7 days of payment.

If the seller cannot prove that he sent the item by a trackable method such as recorded or special delivery Paypal will automatically find in your favour and you should get a full refund of all monies.

Yes, follow the paypal dispute method to get your money back and then use the ebay form to register your complaint after and leave negative feedback.

Having been stung before on ebay for quite a large sum of money I know that you could be waiting quite a while for ebay to do anything about things.

I ordered paid for an item with Paypal before Christmas and when It had not arrived and I found negative feedback about the seller on EBay I complained to PayPal and received a refund almost immediately (on Christmas Eve). when I was offered a refund from a seller for another item it took 3or 4 weeks!
