rpcss has caused an error in KERNEL32 dll
When I log onto my pc I get this messege:
rpcss has caused an error in KERNEL32 dll
And it keeps poping up, any ideas?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.What happens if someone else logs on? I assume your using xp home. Sound likely to have been a virus or something of that ilk that has created a registry key to load at login with a link to the kernel32.dll.
Do you have up to date anti virus installed? I would also recommend running a good spy ware scan...
In that case it may be easier to fix. There are a number of places to check for unrequired links to the dll in question.
system.ini, autoexec.bat and the registry. First place would be in the run section of the registry. Open regedit, then navigate to:
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run
This is the most used key when it comes to infection. You will find a few start up items but look for a program trying to link with the kernel32.dll
Also look in the autoexec.bat file for the same issue. Check what files have link their start up with the dll. It does sound like you have been infected with a virus but the file has been removed by an anti virus application..
See if any of this helps (I haven't used millenium for ages but it's really nothing more than windows 98 with a few more bells on)..
ok, I've done som emore digiung about this and found it's not from a virus. More likely, the anti virus software itself may be at fault. rpcss is quite important so don't delete it or any keys associated with it. Try the following patch from microsoft...:
