aeriel trouble

hi there, our building is all wired up by sky homes, so there's one communal dish and one aerial. this was fine until we got sky plus so had to get our own dish.

but the problem is, whereas before you could watch the sky in the bedroom thru the integrated aerial, we now only get a fuzzy picture from the sky plus box.

the cable comes outta the rf out 2 in the box and goes into a hole in the wall that isn't a regular aerial socket, it's longer than the regular one and has a symbol showing a box with 2 T's on their sides.

i've tried switching the aerial to rf out1 but made no difference.

does anyone know an explanation or a solution for this? maybe some sorta aerail booster??
