Memory speeds

I have a motherboard that is capable of running between 266/333/400 mhz. I have a 512mb memory stick running at 333 (pc2700) - could I put in another 512mb stick which runs at 400mhz(pc 3200) to boost my memory up to 1 gb ? I take it i would need to keep the board running at 333 fsb

In fact, I am currently running one stick of Crucial PC2700 and another one of Crucial PC3200 on my Gigabyte Athlon XP board and I've never had a problem. It certainly helped going to 1Gig for BF2!
It would be worth a go as you won't break anything
