how do I stop this web site popping up. It appears on screen whether kids use it or me.

Run "adaware" or "spybot" and empty your cache.

Thanks Ethel and Bluejon. I have in the past ran adaware, but the dam pop up still appears later on at some time. Grrrr

i get exactly the same thing, along with others. No amount of scans seem to stop the damn things!

I don't like to appear to be gloating but I do not get any popups at all.

I use FireFox as my browser, and 'a shampoo winoptimiser platinum suite' with it's pop-up blocker. It was a free utilitly on one of the disks that come with computer magazines.

I also use Ewido, Spybot, AVG, Lavasoft AdAware, ZoneAlarm firewall, A squared (A2), Windows Defender and Spywareblaster.

All free and regularly updated.

I have pop up control on. The adult friendfinder one, comes on if I got onto my hotmail account. So not so much as a pop up I guess, just a full page advert. Repulsive too.

I ran the recommended process and it did clear up the adult popups. I am not sure what it does exactly...but it did clean it up.

Go to http://forums.techguy.org/security/455898-blackworm-sysprotect-pop-up-adult.html and download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
Turn your computer back on.

Thanks SuziG, I did as you said, but no files were infected. I have just been onto my hotmail account, and noticed the ugly Adults Friends site came on then. So assume its coming in via Hotmail. And I still cant seem to stop it.
