dvd back up problems

so imagine if creating a dvd backup was legal. And that software like dvdshrink was available. And that you had a copy of, say, Flightplan. And imagine the software couldn't beat the encrypyion because of teh number of dummy sectors on there. And neither could dvddecrypt. Hypothetically, what would you do?

Complain to the OFT that the company was denying me my right to backup the DVD

See, as far as I know, that right only exists in the USA
Then i would try another DVD ripper program that could bypass bad sectors, say 'DVDFab' decrypter, or simillar
