I have bought this mp3 player and when i plug in to the ocmputer it does not recognise it and there seems to be no driver. I really dont know what to do because its for my mum who is going on holiday on saturday and needs it for the long flight. Anyone know if i can get the driver anywhere? i have already contacted philips and they say it will take 4 days for an answer thanks a million.

If you've got the installation CD then run it again to install the driver. If not, you might have a problem because the Philips website doesn't offer a download for the driver.
I've also been reading a few comments, regarding this player on the web. It seems that you must meet the minimum system requirements to get your PC to communicate with the player. This means that you must have Windows XP. You must also have XP Service Pack 1 installed. Further, only Windows Media Player 10 will recognise the player. (WMP9 will not work). Finally, in order to get the PC to recognise the player, the player must be powered by the mains adapter.
