Instead of the usual offers to increase the size of my manhood, or earn 1 million by using my bank account for dodgy money transfers, I've started to receive lots of things purporting to be notifications of undelivered e-mails. Is this a new trend and has anyone else had them? Or has my PC been turned into a zombie?

It's not a new trend. When these spammers send out their garbage, they put *your* email address as the return address, so people who bounce them will be bouncing them to you, instead of to the spammers.

If anybody gets any spam at all, I would just delete it - bounced spam causes just as much hassle as the spam itself.

Run a spyware scan, to make sure that it isn't you contributing to the increase in spam (as should everyone really). There does seem to be an increase on certain email systems. Often they are sent out without the computer owner knowing.
