why wont it play

When I send a vid clip via email to either yahoo or hotmail, why won't it play? the recipient gets sound but no picture..It works perfectly well if I send it to another AOL addy..Is there something I or they can do to rectify this..

It's probably because the recipient does not have the correct codec installed on their machine. the codec is the software used to compress the video when it was created. Codecs can be easily downloaded (if you know what was used in the first place).
