Free boadband, whats the catch?
Does anyone else think that this is too good to be true? I really want to sign up but fear that something will change and cost me a lot of money and be told that it was all in the small print.
The way I see it, I'm being offered an equally good product that costs me 17.99 per month, for free!

Only around 70 per cent of the UK population will be able to subscribe to this offer at this price. Punters outside the TalkTalk/Carphone Warehouse footprint will have to stump up an extra 9.99 for the package.
Anyone signing up to the service is also tied in to an 18 month contract, must adhere to a 40 gig a month download limit and shell out a one-off 30 connection fee.
Yes, this is the Talk Talk offer (wasn't sure if I could use the actual name).
We just use our phone to make normal calls and the phone bill is about 100 per quarter. Add to this, the 64 per quarter we pay for Wanadoo and thats quite a chunk.
From what I can tell, I can have cheaper calls, but still have to pay the 9.99 line rental (which I am paying to BT anyway, and I get my broadband for free?
It seems thatI get unlimited calls to European countries too which is a bonus cos my missus is Spanish and calls there a lot.
Naaah, this can't be true.
Agree with Rich ref cover. I contacted talktalk and found that they have no control over the line in my area and I would have to pay 10 epr month plus the BT Line Rental. However I am still thinking about it as it is cheaper than what I am already using.
If you are with BT and are paying 100 per quarter for what you call normal calls it maybe worth looking at TalkTalk for phone calls. My average monthly bill is about 5.00 which includes calls to Australia. We certainly found the calls were cheaper than BT
