hotmail virus

I have now recieved 2 emails from friends saying 'help, can you click this link to see my new website'. Clearly this is a virus but I only have email contact with one of these people, however they both went to my school. Do you think the virus has gone through Friendreunited and will it catch up with me eventually??!

It could have got to you in any number of ways. Don't open the file, I've had two friends so far that have had this virus.

BTW, you'd be much better using something other than Hotmail. It's bulky, slow, and obviously pretty insecure. Gmail is much better.
