Is Roboform a genuine download?
3 Answers
I've been looking at a site called The Survey Pro which claims that they will pay you to do online surveys and it costs you nothing. They prompt you to download a programme called Roboform for free, but what's worrying me is that the Roboform site mentions "password management."
Is it possible that it might gather my passwords and send them off so that someone can access my secure files?
Any advice appreciated.

Does just the same sort of thing (stores your passwords securely), and was designed by bruce schneier, a very well-respected security expert. Best of all it's free software, so if you're so inclined, you can check the program code to see if it's doing anything nasty like sending your passwords to someone (it isn't).
I have it on my flash drive and use it daily. Works great; my only criticism is that it's windows-only. Would be better if it was written in Java so that it could work on Macs too.
