my computer recently has had problems with windows being @missing or corrupt@ so i have put windows back on and im in the process of getting and updated everything again. the only thing is, i cant get sound to work....

any ideas why this would be?

Have you installed the audio drivers?

from where? a CD or something?
Most motherboards nowadays have built-in sound card functions, so the most likely place to look would be on your Motherboard drivers CD. In any case you should have installed all the motherboard drivers before attempting to get anything else working.
If all else fails, pop open the case and see who made your motherboard. Google that name and you'll probably find out where to download the drivers from.
