DVD RW drive not working
4 Answers
I have a Packard Bell notebook with a NEC DVD RW model 6500A disk drive.
The disk drive has stopped working it makes all the right noises that it should make when you first close the draw with a disk in it, but the computer doesn't think there is a disk inserted.
I have checked the system information but there is a symbol (a yellow shield with an exclamation mark inside.) I don't remember the exact message (I'm not on my laptop at the moment)
I have tried trouble shooting but no useful answers were forthcoming.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Steve
