DVD player for mac

I think I've accidentally deleted the DVD player on my mac version OS X 10.3.9. I've searched on the internet for software that will let me play dvds on my computer but nothing seems to work as the software just opens and I can't get it to play the DVD. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem or know of any reliable free software I can download.
