Would it be possible to take the CD-RW in a macbook out (the �750 model) and change it for a DVD-RW?

Yes it's possible if you know what you are doing, have an Apple compatible drive to go in (must be the same dimensions also) and don't mind invalidating your warranty. Why not just get the model with a DVD-RW ? I know it's more expensive but it would save a lot of hassle.
