Mobile phone contract

I have got a new mobile phone on contract and havent got the hang of it yet! I need to know if I will get billed for any downloads that i buy off the internet, or will it just go out of my 'minutes' or 'texts'. For example, last night, I bought 2 wallpapers totalling �4. So will I have to pay that extra? or will it be taken from my minutes? Thanks.
