Sony Mobile Phones

I'm going to buy a new mobile phone, and I have got it down to 2, the Sony W300i and the Sony W550i.Has anyone had any problems with either, any recomendations.
Also I don't use it that much so I would like to stay on the same pay as you go tarrif (virgin) and both of these phones are being sold on O2, in the past I have bought a vodafone phone and used my virgin sim but I have been told with these phones I can't do that, is that just to try and get me to switch networks, although the shop I was in was not a O2 shop.
Can anyone advise.

I have the 550i and i love it, haven't had any problems with it. My daughter also has one and she put her orange sim card in it and it works perfectly so good luck with it
