Are downloads(VIDEO, AUDIO) from sites such as 'KAZAA' faster using Broadband then Dial-up connections? Thanx

Yes they are. With dial up you connect at 56K with Broadband its 512K. Which means you have a lot more room for information to come in and go out. speeds of 5 - 50 K/per sec on kazaa on broad band as appose to 0.1 - 1 K/per sec on dial up. In time to download a song say 3 meg big (3 mins long) on broad band it would take between 1 min and 8 mins to download and dialup 50 mins. with broadband start the downlaod hit play and by the time the song has finish playing normally you will have it.

And you can listen to online radio whilst you download - the speed appears to be limited more by the site's speed than yours.

And even if it isn't much quicker, you can leave it on overnight because the 'phone still works and the bill's paid for the internet access.
