ntsc to pal

i wonder if anyone can help me out.i have tried to make a copy of an NTSC to pal it does copy but in black and white is there anyway i can get it to colour?

There's a lot of video recorders nowadays which accept NTSC tapes for playback. I can only suggest you try recording from one of these.

but both the vcrs i have will take NTSC tapes

If it plays in colour but copies only in black and white, could it be that it's been manufactured so copies can't easily be made from it?

Your problem arises because the PAL and NTSC systems encode the colour information in quite different ways. To make a colour copy will need a VERY expensive bit of kit: if it's that important, try Yellow Pages under Video Services.
